The HMA program for Teens and Adults is a journey of self discovery that starts with movement and self-expression through martial arts. Along with building a solid foundation in Tae Kwon Do, the program provides a framework for cultivating self-awareness, mindfulness, and vitality in a dynamic and powerful way. While safety and self-defense are taught, the program emphasizes the self-expressive aspects rather than the combative side of martial arts. Taught by experienced athletes the program is appropriate for all ages, and it provides the opportunity for an excellent cardio vascular and strength training program, while incorporating stretching and relaxation.
Classes are 45 minutes long and participation two times per week is highly encouraged. There are four to six available group classes during the week, and since we operate an open schedule, you can pick and choose which days work for your calendar, without having to confirm or secure your spot in the class each week. The minimum training duration is six months.
HMA Teens/Adults program uses a martial arts color belt system. Belts need to be earned, and progress and success metrics are individual. We do not compare and contrast students, and strongly discourage students and parents from doing so.
